Who this policy covers

This policy applies to carliniconsulting.com (the "Site"), operated by Lorenzo Carlini, trading as Carlini Consulting, based in Italy ("we", "us"). It explains what happens when you visit the Site, in plain terms, and describes your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Italian data protection law.

This is a good-faith, plain-language notice reflecting how the Site actually works. It is not a substitute for tailored legal advice; if you need a fully vetted policy for your own use, consult a qualified professional.

What the Site itself collects

The Site is a static page with no contact form, no account system, and no analytics or advertising trackers. It does not set cookies and does not use browser local storage. We do not collect, store, or process any personal data through the Site itself.

What happens if you get in touch

The Site offers two ways to start a conversation, both of which hand you off to a service we don't control:

• Email — clicking "Contact me" opens your own email client addressed to lorenzo@carliniconsulting.com. Whatever you choose to write and send is received directly by Lorenzo Carlini and is not seen by any third party through the Site.
• Google Calendar booking — clicking "Start a conversation" opens an external Google Calendar booking page (calendar.app.google) in a new tab. Any information you enter there (name, email, meeting details) is collected and processed by Google under Google's own privacy policy, not by us directly, until the booking reaches Lorenzo Carlini as the meeting host.

Email correspondence and calendar bookings are kept only for as long as needed to handle the conversation or engagement they relate to, and are not used for any purpose beyond that.

Hosting and third-party requests

The Site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which, like any web host, processes standard technical logs (such as IP address and request data) to serve pages and protect against abuse. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.

Loading the page also triggers a small number of requests to third-party content delivery networks, each of which may receive your IP address as a normal function of serving the file, but none of which are used by us for tracking or advertising:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — used to load the Site's typefaces.
• cdnjs (Cloudflare) — used to load a small decorative animation library for the homepage background.

Cookies

The Site does not use cookies of any kind — no analytics, no advertising, no preference cookies. No cookie banner is shown because none is needed.

Legal basis for processing

Where any processing of your personal data occurs (for example, when you email us or book a call), the legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, or the performance of pre-contractual steps at your request, consistent with GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f).

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact lorenzo@carliniconsulting.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with your own country's data protection authority if you are located elsewhere in the EU.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the Site. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
